DFM opens Thursday in red

Dubai – Mubasher: The Dubai Financial Market (DFM) continued its negative performance in Thursday’s early trades, weighed down by the fall of transportation and real estate sectors.

The DFMGI slid 0.09% or 3.42 points to reach 3,717.92 points by 10:10am UAE time.

The consumer staples sector led losers after falling 0.7% due to a decline in DXB Entertainment by 1.5%. The real estate sector decreased 0.3% as Emaar Properties levelled down 0.4%.

The banks sector sank 0.25% after Air Arabia tumbled 0.6%.

Turnover amounted to AED 129.62 million after trading 145.11 million shares through 1,414 transactions.
