Dh240m worth of infrastructure upgrades completed in Abu Dhabi

ABU DHABI // Dh240 million worth of infrastructure projects have been completed across the capital.

Abu Dhabi Municipality said the projects — which included the construction of service roads and parking lots as well as sewage and drainage systems — are aimed at improving quality of life in the city, upgrading the infrastructure, and improving traffic safety.

The budget was split between the east and west areas of the island with Dh124m and Dh116m allocated for each, respectively.

A total of 4,921 parking bays were installed and 152 entrances for houses and land plots were built.

Dh18m worth of traffic safety improvement projects in the city were among the upgrades, as well as the construction of recreational facilities and renovations of some intersections within the island.

The construction of Al Mina Road was also completed, at a cost of Dh40m.
